Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has directed all government agencies to comply with its policy on Treasury Single Account (TSA) on or before September 15.
The president had last month directed all government agencies to ensure that all revenues accruing to government should be deposited in a single account with the central bank in a bid to maintain transparency in government finance. The Sept. 15 deadline became imperative because the dereliction of many government agencies concerning the policy.

In a statement on Monday, the president’s official Twitter handle, @NGRPresident, said all revenues must go into the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) TSA.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has issued a Tuesday, September 15, 2015 deadline for all federal MDAs (Ministries, Departments and Agencies) to comply with the Treasury Single Account (TSA) instruction.
“By that deadline, all federal government revenues must go into the Central Bank Treasury Single Account (TSA), except otherwise expressly approved.”
