Nigeria’s deputy President Osibanjo to deliver ECA’s annual Adedeji lecture

 Nigeria's Vice President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, will be guest speaker at the Economic Commission for Africa's annual Adebayo Adedeji Lecture Series during the ECA's second African Development Week that begins in Dakar, Senegal, this week.
The title of the lecture, which will be delivered on Monday March 27 at the Centre International De Conférences Abdou Diouf, is; 'Repositioning Nigeria in a Changing World'.
'We are honored and excited that the Vice President will be the guest speaker of the Adedeji lecture series this year to share with us how his government is repositioning Nigeria in a fast-changing world we live in today,' said ECA's acting Executive Secretary, Abdalla Hamdok.
Vice President Osibanjo is an accomplished scholar, teacher, lawyer and administrator and one of Nigeria's leading experts on the Law of Evidence, National and Regional Corporate Commercial Laws and Public Law.
The ECA inaugurated the Annual Adebayo Adedeji Lecture series in March 2014 in Abuja, Nigeria, during the 7th Joint Annual Meetings of the AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance and ECA Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.
The lecture series honors and recognizes the intellectual contributions to development, service to Africa and humanity by Professor Adebayo Adedeji, an unrepentant believer in African integration and development.
Professor Adedeji has had a singularly distinguished academic, political and diplomatic career in service to Africa.
Each year, the lecture series features prominent scholars and personalities who have in one way or the other contributed to the development of Africa.
